15 Photos to Inspire You to Visit China

China was a beautiful and surprisingly green country!

China had been on my wish list for a long time, and I was excited to finally be able to check it off my list. The people were incredibly friendly, the food was plentiful and delicious, and there are so many famous and beautiful sites that it could take you months (or even years to get through them all)!

I traveled during May and spent fifteen days exploring the highlights of China – standing on the Great Wall of China, visiting the terra-cotta warriors in Xi’an, playing with the pandas in Chengdu, cruising the Li River in Guilin, and marveling at the impressive Shanghai city skyline. Everything about China was impressive! There was certainly no shortage of wonderful things to see. Even in the smallest city I visited, there were still more residents than some of the largest cities in the United States. There will certainly be an adventure no matter what region of China you choose to visit.

If you haven’t been, I would highly recommend planning a visit!

The rice terraces at Longji are still farmed in the traditional manner.

Shanghai was a very modern (and Western) city, complete with some impressive infrastructure.

PANDAS! Enough said.

You can visit a mountainous area where the pandas from Kung Fu Panda III live.

Xi’an had one of the most incredible shows we have ever seen…and not a word was in English.
